It’s only when the mind is free from the old that it meets everything anew,
and in that there is joy

For Parents
Many children drop out of sport when the demands of the sport exceed their fitness level. Since skill and aerobic capacity are two sides of the same coin very often we see children not being able to achieve a high level of skill as their aerobic capacities as not sufficiently developed. This is where independent athletic conditioning of sport is important.
The key is not having children play specialized sport early in life. The LTAD model recommends delaying specialization till the child is physically and mentally ready to handle the challenges of any one sport at a high level.
For initial years up to the ages of 14-15 it is important for children to be  physically fit, and sample a number of different sports, so when they specialize in a single sport, they feel physically competent.
